TrueLanguage is a partnership of creative minds...

There are two principals in the firm:  Uli Dendy and Ingrid Hurtubise. They are supported by an indispensable crew of professional translators, editors, graphic designers and software localizers.

Uli Dendy.
Uli was born in Germany and came to the US at 21 to continue her education.  She enrolled at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and earned a degree in microbiology. By the time she graduated, Uli had added fluency in English to her language portfolio. She met her husband, a true Southerner from Huntsville and added fluency in the Southern dialect, as well as a love for sweet tea and pecan pie, to her portfolio.

Uli is known for being an independent, determined free spirit, which explains how she translated a desire to study genetics into a thriving business that allows big business to clone its systems into dozens of languages.

Uli is an avid dog lover, and became involved with fostering and training rescue dogs. Not satisfied with mastering human language, Uli has learned to communicate easily with canines and has been training dogs in obedience and agility for the past five years.

Ingrid Hurtubise.
Born in Poland to German parents from Latvia with ancestry from Holland and Belgium, growing up near the Danish border - this  seems to lead naturally to a career involving languages. Instead, Ingrid studied Law in Hamburg, Heidelberg and Göttingen. Then, instead of practicing law, she immigrated to Canada and worked in the hospitality industry there, and in Mexico.

Ingrid eventually immigrated to the US and began teaching German and French at the university level, which led quite naturally to translation and interpretation opportunities. She became interested in applying localization to the software industry, and that interest led to the study of programming.

Ingrid eventually found herself in Atlanta as a project manager at a localization company. She joined forces with Uli Dendy to found TrueLanguage in 2007.

When not building her business, Ingrid loves the sea – above (in a kayak or sailboat) and below (with snorkel or scuba gear), reading, traveling, live music (classical), live theatre, good food and wine with friends.
